SGBC Family News | June 12, 2020
Dear SGBC Brothers and Sisters,
We are celebrating SGBC 13th anniversary this coming Sunday June 14! Praise the LORD! We have added a few more special elements into the service including video, thanksgiving sharing, special anthem and interpretative dance to give to our God as sacrifice. Pray that you will be able to engage into worship and dedicate our sacrifice of thanksgiving to our LORD. All three worships services (English, Cantonese, and Mandarin) will be held at the same time at 11:15am. Please choose your language and visit the respective link to join the “joint” anniversary service. Sermon will be preached in the language of the worship service without translation.
Moreover, we will also be hosting a Meet & Chat on Google Meet at 10:45am-11:10am so we can greet our brothers and sisters and count the blessings from our Lord! Please visit https://meet.google.com/vtg-xapu-tpf or dial +1 617-675-4444 and put in the PIN: 791 074 208 8542#. Come join us! Children Worship will be held as usual at 8:45am and 10:30am.
SGBC 2019 Annual Report
On this 13th anniversary celebration, an electronic version of the 2019 annual report of SGBC is being sent to you, under a separate cover, by email. Please take time to read and give thanks to our God! Brothers and sisters who wish to receive a hard copy of this annual report, please contact our
office to arrange for mailing.
Survey to Resume In-Person Gathering:
Ontario entered the second phase of reopening today (June 12), and places of worship will also be permitted to open with some limitations. The readiness to join church activities in person could be different, depending on our health condition and family situation. SGBC needs to do an anonymous survey to collect data so that we can plan and arrange accordingly. Please find the survey from the church website or here: https://forms.gle/xQZxA7maPtRyXiYH8 and complete the form before June 20. One survey per person/family member. That will help SGBC as a whole to move forward to the new normal, as we continue to share life together and bring love to others while preaching the gospel of Christ.
Tithes & Offering – Online “Giving & Support”
“Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need.” Malachi 3:10
In response to worship being held online, SGBC Financial Department has also arranged online offering and donations. Please visit the church website and click on “Online Offering” under “Give & Support” to make an offering: http://www.stouffville-gbc.org/onlineoffering/
