“Build the Church to Build People” 》
Nehemiah 8:1-12

Introduction
Given that the church is the body of Christ—all of us—is our focus better placed on
building the community or the physical structure (‘the wall’)?
We can draw insights from the actions of Nehemiah and Ezra.
I. Trusting in God’s Perfect Timing (Neh. 8:1-2; Ecclesiastes 3:1, 11a)
II. From self-centered to self-giving (Neh. 8:1-5)
• God’s Word Build Unity Among His People
III. A Responsive Heart to God’s Word (Neh. 8:6-9)
• God’s Word Moves People to Action
IV. Strength in the Joy of the Lord (Neh. 8:10-12)
• Encounter God in Deeper Ways through Obedience
Conclusion
We pray that the Lord opens our hearts, making us sensitive to His leading,
guiding us forward and shaping our lives throughout the journey of building His church.
