Praise the Lord, all nations! Extol him, all peoples! For great is his steadfast love toward us, and the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever. Praise the Lord! (Psalm 117:1-2)
We cordially invite you to join SGBC’s Sunday service! As we get to know our God, may we be reminded of the Amazing Grace given through His beloved Son Jesus Christ.
Worship is a journey. By knowing our Father’s love and worshiping the Almighty God, our lives will be transformed. In this life journey, we will seek to live a life that pleases Him and blesses others. Come join with us for a great time of worship together:
The audience of one. In worship, our God is the one and only audience. Worship leaders on stage are not performers; their worship does not take the place of our own personal worship of God. Let us be fully prepared to participate. May God find pleasure in our offerings, given cheerfully and willingly from our hearts.
Worship is a verb. We join Sunday service to actively welcome God. Instead of passively singing, silently listening to the sermon, or casually saying “amen,” God has blessed us with all kinds of senses - vision, smell, touch, taste, emotions – to worship our living God with our whole being.
God reveals His greatness and transcendence when we worship Him. The God we believe in is a living and omnipotent God. We deeply believe that, by His will, God reveals His greatness and glory during worship. May all glory be to God, Amen.
Worship does not end when the Pastor gives the benediction prayer. Through our acts of worship, God sculpts our lives and changes the way we live. No matter if it’s at home, at work, or in relationships, our lives shall reveal our commitment and services to God.
We hope you will consider making SGBC your spiritual home. We look forward to having you in our midst as we share all the blessings, teachings, keeping, and guidance in our Lord Jesus Christ. May God’s blessings be upon you!
We want to give everyone the opportunity to learn and grow, for that we aim to cultivate a teachable environment so we can find the desire to seek after God in practical ways. Through Sunday school programs and Bible reading plans with other ministries, we can achieve all that we set out to do.
The Importance of understanding God’s Word:
but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither— whatever they do prospers. (Psalms 1:2-3)
It is the Mission of Christianity to teach the Christ followers according to God’s word, to learn and grow communally, and to develop a personal relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ as well as fellowship with our spiritual family – all of this produces spiritual growth and discipleship training through learning the ways of Christ. It is the goal of Christianity to make disciples of Jesus Christ by:
- Equipping individuals to maturity – expanding their knowledge of Christianity
- Offering opportunities to the community – understanding the meaning of "Modern Christianity"
- Nurture the congregations’ interests – to be willing to learn and understand God’s word
There is a class for every walk of life – we sincerely invite you to join us!
Therefore if you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any common sharing in the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. (Philippians 2:1-4)
Life groups meet regularly, uniting brothers and sisters from different backgrounds and ages. Through learning, we understand and apply God’s will and way. Through sharing life stories intimately, caring for one another, and encouraging members – we build each other up to be Christ’s disciples and therefore, lives are changed by Christ.
Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matthew 28:18-20)
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” (Acts 1:8)
As a response to the Great Commission, other than sharing God’s love in our local community, we also provide financial and prayer support to missionaries, seminary students, evangelistic organizations, mission agencies, as well as theological education institutes. We also provide short-term mission opportunities to encourage brothers and sisters to see the needs of the massive fields in person, and witness the wonderful works of God in different parts of the world.
For JK to Grade 8. Your children will sing songs, and enjoy age-appropriate Bible lessons that will help them learn to apply God's truth to their everyday lives.
For infants and Toddlers. Your children will enjoy the safe and fun facility of our Nursery Room where our adult volunteers will provide loving care to them.
All of our staff and volunteers working with minors go through a screening process, and are trained to ensure a safe and quality environment for your children.
Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity. (1 Timothy 4:12)
